Excel

In today lesson we were given the task of removing the option of  dirty data from being put in.  Dirty data is a database record that contains errors. Dirty data can be caused by a number of factors including duplicate records, incomplete or outdated data, and the improper parsing of record fields from disparate systems.
so in other words if I can put numbers in an area of excel where only letters should be put in there. This is also known as dirty data because it is not suppose to happen.

Here are some screen shoots and steps on of how i removed the dirt data

1) You should be able to see a small icon on the bottom of the left corner.  I then Clicked on it which took me to design view. Here I was able to change the way numbers and letters are typed in.

2) Time to make some changes to remove the dirty data. I then clicked on the the Model and there appeared a drop down list. I selected the text option as shown in the screen shot below

I then changed the field size to 20. This means that i will not be allowed to type in more than 20 letters ( because I selected TEXT) . screen shot below :

Here is a screen shot of what  will happen when i type in a word more than 20 letters.

It wont let me type because my field size is 20. so Im not allowed to type in more than 20 letters.

3) I next changed the Engine capacity section. I changed the engine capacity so it does not allow me to put in more than 0000 zeros. Click on the arrow for the drop down list and choose the number option.  There is  screen shot below :

Adobe Photoshop

In class, we are also using Adobe Photoshop to create our own website. This is how I did it In order to make the main page of my website i will need to have 6 elements : Banner, Footer, and four buttons. this is what my template looks like. Image below Then I went ahead and made my banner. Image below. Do you like it ??? I also saved my work in two different formats. Jpeg and PSD. What is a J peg and PSD ? Jpeg :A format for compressing image files PSDF : PSD, which stands for Photoshop Document, is the default format that Photoshop uses for saving data. PSD is a proprietary file that allows the user to work with the images' individual layers even after the file has been saved. How to save your work into these different format ? J peg : 1 )
2 )
The same method applies to PSD except you have to change the setting to PSD . Next I made my footer.image below
Next I made the 4 buttons. i have also decided to add some lense flare to make the website more attractive and aesthetically pleasing . images are below :
The third one is under construction (: Any space for improvements on my blog ? please comment in the comment section below (:
